Kathleen speaking at Arborteum Festival

Date: Monday, August 18
Time: 6:45pm
Venue: Ottawa Art Gallery – 2 Daly Avenue, Ottawa

Kathleen will be speaking at The Ottawa Art Gallery | La Galerie d’art d’Ottawa to help kick off the Arboretum Arts Festival. She will be on a panel discussing “Why I left Ottawa” with Remi Thériault, Olivier Fairfield, and Emmanuel Sayer.

To open the festival, the panel will address Ottawa’s penchant for creating and nurturing a vast pool of artists, that traditionally have left for larger cultural centres. Over the last decade, this trend has receded somewhat, and the panel of notable local artists will discuss reasons why they may have left, contemplated leaving, moved here, or stuck it out.
